Pakistan - North West Frontier Indian and other Photographers - Mela Ram
Mela Ram - Peshawar City Fruit Market. Mela Ram was one of a number of industrious Indian Hindus who ran photo studios in the North West Frontier. Most commerce was in the hands of the Hindus during the British Raj so the photographers accordingly were drawn from the Hindu minority as opposed to from the Muslim population of the province.
